Class "A" Power Amplifier

	The Alternate Audio CA100 has been designed to supply clean power for the most demanding of audiophiles.
The minimalist, single ended class "A" design preserves signal integrity, while the intelligent control system protects equipment against DC offsets and thermal overloads. The CA100's simple, attractive appearance sets the style for the rest of the Alternate Audio line of high-end audiophile equipment.
The CA100 minimalist design offers the following features:
	2 channels - each with 100 watts of high-bias class "A" power
	Only two active components in the signal path (N-channel MOSFETs)
	1,320,000 uF of capacitance for peak performance
	Low noise power supplies with separate power toroids for both the current and voltage gain stages, as well as for the control circuitry
	Fully fused 120/240 VAC hospital-grade IEC power connector
	Teflon® insulators Gold plated connectors
The CA100's front panel controls consist of a POWER switch and a STANDBY switch. The STANDBY switch allows the output stage to be idled while the amplifier stays "warm".
The thermal status of each channel is displayed on front panel LEDs. If a thermal overload were to occur, the CA100 would idle the corresponding channel's output stage until it cooled to a normal operating temperature. Similarly, the CA100 monitors DC offset, displays the status on a front panel LED, and puts the amplifier in STANDBY mode if the DC offset becomes excessive.
